That's the problem rad.  We the customer think oh they'll never change.  We'll take what we can get.  And we get shat on by the department.  And we are content and buy their shi**y opportunitys.  The math on 1000 elk permits for 185 more dollars = $185,000 dollars the math on 7000 multi deer tags = 1.29 million dollars add those up = 1.48 million dollars + the cost to even apply so 7.10 x atleast 20,000. That's 142,000. That's 1.62 million dollars on the multi drawing alone.  We float the bill so we should have the drawing when ever the f we want it.  I bet they make hundreds of millions of dollars a year on permits all together.  Seems like they could pay say 20,000 and get any company to run it however and when ever they want it.

Wow!  Somebody is grumpy in the morning :chuckle:

Not sure how April 10th is getting pooped on by the department.  But, I guess we all have something that gets our blood pressure up.

:chuckle:   Not really.  I just like to gripe.  And I did the math.  And then  :bash:

I don't mind the ten day wait.  I do daydream about what I could do with all that money though.

These gray hairs must be where patience comes from.   I could careless if they draw it now or May or June for that matter.   Might be part of this world and instant gratification.  I am more pissed at the animals than anything.  Jerkwads haven't even shed their velvet yet.   How rude...

I can not agree more with the instant gratification comment.

If you consider we were told that the results will be out by the 30th, I consider finding out by the 10th or 15th as they have exceeded their goal. They could say results will be posted on the 30th and not notify anyone until the 30th regardless if it is done early. That would solve all the "I can't wait" complaints.

I don't mind the wait, I mind the $182 is the same for res and non residents.  I also think the deer multiseason is over priced at $182 they should reduce the number and include a second deer (perhaps still limit to one buck a season).

Anyway, I put in fro both hope I get access to a particular piece of dirt for muzzy it;s worth the $6.60.  Elk I look at the other way muzzy first but maybe I can also hunt the MF with my buddys.

$189.10 ends up being about $1.50 a day for a 40% greater chance of taking a buck and almost four straight months of hunting.  Or equal to 1.7 tanks of fuel in my truck!

I'm happy to buy it each year.  Even happier that when I look at the past 18 years of drawing history and there is one category where I'm not a complete loser!  I know it's almost a sure thing, but it still makes me happy when I see "Selected" :chuckle:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Multi-deer over here is like unbelievable........especially being retired and still fully capable.  Sleep in your own bed, eat familiar cooking, hot shower each morning, warm dry descented clothes.........option of quad or truck..........too many options, almost overwhelming.   :IBCOOL:

They ran it on the tenth last year.  But who knows.  I'm saying today or tomorrow.
