When I was a kid anticipation of the spanking was always worse than the spanking itself.  Now the WDFW does the spanking for my father.  And the anticipation is still worse than the spanking.  But, after 40 some odd years I'm getting use to it :chuckle:

I still don't understand why they simply can't move the deadline back a month and have the results by the begining of the new license year. I've already picked up my new fishing license, would have got my hunting at the same time, but am waiting on multi draw results. While I'm busy ranting, why can't they have the regs out by april 1st, it's not like the new license year is a suprise, they do have all year to coordinate it. OK done ranting, bring on the back door predictions. :)

:chuckle:  They could move everything up by a month, three months, or 6 months, and still people would complain that it's not soon enough. And, there would be complaints that it's too early, just as there are now.

Or they could complain that some kid has more points than you do.  :chuckle:

why not buy the deer and elk combo already? You still have to buy it eventually anyways.  :dunno:

With the proposed decrease in the multi deer I believe you have to buy it with your combo to take advantage:dunno: that is if it even happens. Anyhow my point is april first is the new license year, am I the only one that thinks that it isn't too far fetched to be able to take a look at the regs before deciding on what license/tags I'm going to purchase? I like to check out the menu before I order, I am the customer after all. Why should the regs come out in may,how hard would it be to have them available before april 1st. The multi tag if selected would make this easier, but I just don't think a Febuary deadline and pre april first notification should be that difficult.

That's the problem rad.  We the customer think oh they'll never change.  We'll take what we can get.  And we get shat on by the department.  And we are content and buy their shi**y opportunitys.  The math on 1000 elk permits for 185 more dollars = $185,000 dollars the math on 7000 multi deer tags = 1.29 million dollars add those up = 1.48 million dollars + the cost to even apply so 7.10 x atleast 20,000. That's 142,000. That's 1.62 million dollars on the multi drawing alone.  We float the bill so we should have the drawing when ever the f we want it.  I bet they make hundreds of millions of dollars a year on permits all together.  Seems like they could pay say 20,000 and get any company to run it however and when ever they want it.

I don't get it. Why is the second week of April not a good time for the multi season draw? It's still five months before archery season starts.

As hunters, I would think that in general, we ought to have a fair amount of patience, but apparently not.  :dunno:

I don't see any problem with the timing of the multi-season draw.  It is plenty early and gets done reasonably quickly.

Wow!  Somebody is grumpy in the morning :chuckle:

Not sure how April 10th is getting pooped on by the department.  But, I guess we all have something that gets our blood pressure up.

These gray hairs must be where patience comes from.   I could careless if they draw it now or May or June for that matter.   Might be part of this world and instant gratification.  I am more pissed at the animals than anything.  Jerkwads haven't even shed their velvet yet.   How rude...

So we have to wait until the 10th. What then? Does anyone really have a problem with waiting ten days except for the fact that we're bored waiting for hunting season? There are plenty of more important issues we face with the DFW, like how they pursue wildlife crimes and support their LE in the field on prosecutions. Pick your fights. Sign the petition!
