Do you remember back when there was no Internet and you had to wait a month or two for the post card to show up in your mail box?

NO INTERNET  :o you must be joking, how is that even possible?
Ok I'll one up you, remember when there were no points? If you got drawn it just ment you could not apply the next year. If you did apply you couldn't hunt the first three days. How about when they used to put the results in the paper for those who couldn't wait for the post card? I remember my dad checking the results in the paper then calling my uncles to tell them they had/hadn't been drawn.

This is all new to me... i grew up hunting in the south, like alabama and louisiana... where i could take two deer a day and hunt with all different weapons.  WDFW needs to have less strict rules on how many deer/elk we can take!

If there were less rules on amounts to be harvested in a few years there would be nothing left.

Can someone give me a GOOD reason why the drawings are not done right away instead of waiting a couple of weeks?  Other than to annoy me.  I understand the main drawings as there are multiple tags, multiple species, sexes, and multiple seasons those should take a while but multi-season and spring bear should be slam dunks and reported with in a day or 2 of due dates.

It makes it even more frustrating that I have to wait on the results of the multi-season to apply for my other tags.

We still have a couple of weeks before we can begin applying for the special permit hunts. So- what's the hurry in knowing if you drew multi season or not?  ???

My mistake, I thought you could apply for the special tags at anytime now.  Oh well doesn't change the fact that they should not prolong the drawing and notification.

Slow your roll there Tony.

No matter what, hunting season isn't until September   8)
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Well it's kind of hard for us to say they're not doing it quick enough, since none of us are employees there and we don't know what all is involved in the draw process.

Personally I will assume that they are doing it as quickly as is reasonably possible. You also have to remember that the WDFW doesn't do the drawing- a private company does. So if you're unhappy with the time it takes to get it done, don't blame the WDFW.
