TENDER
« on: November 25, 2008, 12:08:16 PM »
no tag soup this year. my tag was good for anterless/collerless damage hunt. small...but it's my first elk.  chased it through the brush till i got a shot, with help from a friend was able to drag it to the river, go get the boat and float it out.

Congrats! Great feeling getting your first elk! Is that one a east or west side elk?

Way to go!  Looks like my first elk.  My wife tasted her first elk backstrap last fall (after eating venison for years), and asked me why in the world do I still harvest deer. :chuckle:
