Correct - we do not suck the heads.  Judge me all you want.

Here is the second largest craw we caught this weekend.  7 and 1/2 inches.

His tape looks a little bent to me, i think 7 1/2 is more like it.... lol....  Funny, last year 7.5 is the mark to beat, it was tough getting into the 8inch class....  The big boys dont like to come out tell the water warms up a little and they start feedin....   Good work fellas...  I am just going to target jumbo's this year looking for that 8.5 to 9inch class... thats a real booner of a daddy...  :llam: :llam:

Here's an 8 " or damn close one we got up here in western Washington. I went out with Matthewhunter and our other friend and got 71 crawdads all 5 inches plus. Not even to mention we got 60 of em in 2 pots and the others only got 11.

NICE!!! Are those signals (natives)?  We've never caught on here around Moses Lake.

yea there natives. that might be the location that gets ya on those Louisiana crawdads. we only got natives or (singles) over here in western Washington or at least I've only got those ones. I would tell ya where but you know how word gets around. lets just say we got them on the olympic peninsula maybe?  :dunno:  :chuckle:

I wouldn't ask you where.  Just because I said moses lake doesn't mean its where I set my traps.  I've got lots of water around me some hold better crawfish than others.

Oh sorry if that came out wrong :/ I was trying to say that other people do take advantage of other peoples generosity. I wasn't trying to make you seem like a "less friendly" folk but anyway bait of course was fresh bait which seems to help a lot .

I'm sorry if I came across as rasping.  Wasn't my intention.   I was attempting to reassure you I wasn't trying to figure out where you caught those awesome native crawdaddys.

Anyway good job!

Hey Elkpiss - this is twice now you've knocked someone's big crawdad.  Please keep your passive agressive comments to yourself.  Moocher97 caught a great dad and the way I see it it's a legit 8 incher. One claw or two it doesn't matter.  This is suppossed to be fun.  Just because you use a laughing emoticon doesn't make your comment funny.

Easy....easy does it. I understand that passions can flare....just the prospect of mudzilla can bring out the inner beast. That's how it goes with trophy hunting. I saw two guys that were friends for over 140 years throw it all away over a thorax measurement on a horsefly. It was ugly and now one of them only has one good eye.

Keep it mellow.
