I need to drop a cow early so I can help you find a bull with pixy dust. :chuckle:

I drew it as well, but from the sounds of it, I'll just hunt blue creek and kill a cow there

Thought for sure I'd at least get drawn for the colockum slaughter, but I didn't even get that. Should be fun, jealous.

Yeah I couldn't believe the number of permits they had for that one. I applied for the muzzleloader permit and there were only 90 of those, which I figured wouldn't be bad. But 475? I guess they're wanting us to kill a bunch of the elk in there before the Yakama's get them all!

if I'm not mistaken archery is only a 20% success rate with the antlerless tags so far so that's only 95 cows

the only downside has been an increase it hunters. 5 years ago we only saw people on the roads. now its getting busy almost like it was before the true spike change.

2013 success rate was 27%. But that was with only 140 permits. So with all the additional permits this year, 20% is probably closer to what it will be.

So 2 in your group drew Colockum Quality? That's a hunt of a lifetime congrats to them.

If it were only that easy.  Hopefully at least one of those tags gets filled quickly.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Five tags that's a lot to fill. I'm planning on taking off the whole season to fill our four tags and I know that will still be tough. But if you need help packing out five cows I will be up there.
