We're going.  Not specifically for butter clams, just clams/beachcombing in general.

Anyone want to give a quick how-to or a link to further info?  I love clams, and I bet my boy would have a fun time of it.

The WDFW website is very helpful.  It has maps of different beaches through the sound and a description of when each is open and what clams are available.  Take a look and go check it out.  I've had good luck in the past doing just that.  For steamers, just bring a rake and rake down 2 or 3 inches.  They aren't deep.
