Helped a friend fill his cow permit for unit 658. He is 74 and made a 125 yars shot. It was fun.

Wow, 125 huh. Nice shootin tex! I passed a shot about that distance Saturday morn on a deer. It was a rush shot though. easy to say no way. If it would have given me a couple more seconds though...
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me to.

I should add that this is either the 7th or 8th elk we have been able to find for him to shoot, He has been lucky in the draw and can really shoot. He just put a new green river barrell on his hawken and said it really shot well but this was his first time shooting at elk with it. He has a peep site he uses on the gun and he runs a lot of the muzzle loader rondevous and takes care of the muzzle course at littlerock so a lot of you may know him. We wait every year for his phone call saying he drew again I wish I new how he could be so lucky. After he got his elk he had reloaded and not needing to shoot it again he put a pop can out at 50 yards and let my boy shoot it and he hit it I don;t know anything about green river barrells but it looks to me like they sure shoot.
