I don't understand why people call them "Ugly hunting dogs." This is my WPG, Remi, almost 2 years ago.
Did Remi's hair get much longer? My WPG ended up with a pretty long coat which is beautiful until she rolls in something, or runs through the briars! :bash:

It didn't grow like I was expecting.  The coat on his body got somewhat long and dense, but not much on his head.  He grew a cool little beard, and a little around his eyes.  Nothing sticks to his fur and he does really well in the cold water, which is great!

That pic of your boy on his back brings back memories of my lab when he was that age.  He used to sleep like that on my couch.  :)
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Stella hit the water for her first time today and she really took to it. She ran out fetched and also did some swimming all on her own accord. Definitely a fun day.

I think Oscar had the same duck toy as Amber!   :)  By the way, I'm curious who your breeder was...Amber and Oscar have a similar look...

Amber's grandmother was a Sungold dog, so maybe some similar breeding.  We will be looking for a "boyfriend" for Amber this year...hopefully a golden with good hunting lines and a smaller size (Amber is small and everyone seems to love that about her).

I am sure they have stud dogs available,

Oscar I am guessing is about 75-80 lbs right now.....I couldn't be happier with his disposition. The little neighbor kids take him for walks while I am at work and he is great with them......very intelligent, loving, very playful and a great hunter.....has a very good nose. I had him fixed and kinda kicking myself

Lue decided my bow bag was a good place crawl into; good time to put her on the scale.

Looks like Lue doesn't want to get left behind for archery season.
