Had to leave the guys early today because of a little business travel but they are still hard at it.  Got on a possible shooter yesterday but he is a smart old bull.  The 8x8 that coach passed up is a satellite bull of this herd bull.  Left him be after the morning and hit up a different area.  Saw a big 7x7 and a beautiful 350+ 6x6!  Coach is a patient man!  My tag would have been filled by now! Lol.  This is a crappy scope pic of the 7x7.  Heat waves were really bad.  I need a phonescope bad!  Hoping they lay eyes on the herd bull this morning.  Hate to waste anymore time hunting a bull that isn't "the one".

I will let coach update but, he got in on the herd bull with cows and could only see the great fronts the bull had, he said he was ready to drop the hammer but chose to wait!

With peak rut just starting he is waiting for just the right moment.  He is crazy patient!!  No big bulls in washington? I beg to differ a whole lot!!!  There are some great bulls this year, with any general tag they would of all been shot!!!

The 8x8 would be on my wall without a doubt!

Well it's time to work for a couple of days  then back at it. The  8x 8  was wide and heavy with short tines . Passed a 6th that had 24 plus g2, s but his mass was weak and his fives. Went after a deep bugle this afternoon  we had just pulled up to a gate and let out a bugle  a bull responded so  RT and I went after him . Ended up being two bulls so I climbed a cliff and snuck into  100 yards while Kurt beat the hell out of  a tree worked  great. Bugled him into ten yards  but he was only a 320 class6x6.   There's no doubt that I will shoot a bull at some point. , so  I figure that I'm going to enjoy the run just in case we find that epic bull.  It was really hard to not drop the hammer on the herd bull this morning  I was into thirty yards of his cows put he was in a blow down field  I only could see his fronts so decided not to shoot.  I'm  SURE HE, S NOT going any where. Huge thanks to all my buddy's  for keeping me on track.  The will happen.  I have set a standard so hi it might not be realistic , but you can't shoot a 400 bull if you shoot a 350 first.   I know there's a handful of them  so I'm gonna keep steping.
