well I took a weekend to get to omak and recover my trailer before the freeze hits, went to the doctor and got may back ironed out , shot the 6.5 after the pack out to be sure she's on shot x's at 200 . I'm ready to give her her this weekend for a nice buck , thenget back to elk !

Karl and I hunted bucks this weekend , all in all it was a good time , the guy can pick out der at a mile with one eye, We saw tern bucks two in the 150 class just no shooters . the good thing is they are getting interested in the ladys ! should be productive in the next couple weeks . I think buck and hen terns are a protected species.  Though finding even one with antlers is freakin' amazing.  Usually just a black head cap and a long narrow bill.  Do see them with a Zoro mask every once in a while

Your tag is just the 300 units correct?  What size are you setting your eye on?  I would think 160-165 would be pretty nice and tough to find in those units.  Do you have a honey hole that holds 180's as the weather gets colder?
