Here's the story. So I went up to the Teanaway Saturday the 6th to do a little scouting and see if I could find a few of the Bulls that I've been seeing for the last few months. The first day I saw 3 Bulls and everyday after that we were seeing anywhere between 9-12 Bulls. I had a camera setup and caught three wolves on it Saturday evening. So Tuesday "opening day" came and my buddy Joel and I did a lot of hiking and we were seeing quite a few Bulls. Trust me it's hard to pass on 350-360 Bulls but we had our minds set on a giant. Day three came along and we were glassing a big canyon when all of a sudden three wolves came running out below us. There's no way there's only 7 wolves in that GMU, everywhere we went we cut wolf tracks. That next morning Joel and I worked on these two groups of Bulls. I got with in this opening at 167yds and watched 5 Bulls filter through the opening. I had my sights on this big 7x7 and he stopped perfect, as I was squeezing my trigger I noticed a bigger bull in the rear of the five Bulls so I opted to try for him. As he stepped in the opening he all of a sudden ran through. After that some other guys that didn't see the Bulls were down below them and blew them out of the area. So I went about a mile east and started working on these other Bulls. I belly crawled within 70 yards of 9 Bulls and watched a 380 class bull feeding in the timber while the other Bulls were bedded. I was so focused on the big boy that I didn't realize there was another bull that was bedded way to close and he winded me and they all spooked off the hill side. So I took an hr break to let them settle down. At about 1300 I got back on some tracks and my buddy led me straight in on four Bulls two 7x7s and two 300 class Bulls. I tracked them about a mile and finally caught up with them. I pulled up and the heavy 7x7 was at 147 yds. I sent the 248 grain Barnes bullet right at the bull. I heard the bullet whap. I knew it was a good hit. I waited till Joel got to my location and we saw that my bullet went right through a limb. We searched forever to find blood and we turned up nothing. We tracked the bull for 3 hrs and Joel saw him at dark and said that he didn't look hurt. The next morning we decided to try and hunt him again. I walked till about 1030 and as I was walking the sun flashed off something in the brush and as I looked up with my optics, I found my bull. I truthfully give God all the glory and credit for finding him. If it wasn't for the flash in my eyes I wouldn't of found him in that thick brush. Joel and I did a lot of celebrating. The bull ended up scoring 374 6/8. A dream come true. I want to thank everyone for all the tips on here, you guys made this hunt awesome. One other thing if you think you might of injured an animal, don't just give up cause you don't find blood. This bull didn't even bleed in his bed that he died in and I hit him in one of the lungs.
