Congrats! You were gone pretty early, must have been an easy pack?

Yes, with five people it was about as easy as it can get. I only had to pack the head and cape.   :IBCOOL:

All downhill about 1 mile.

Approximately how much would your RAM weigh on the hoof? That's a real good pic with the crew!

I have no clue. But I bet Ric Shirrod would know. (Elkstuffer)

Maybe he'll chime in if he sees this thread, probably not until tomorrow I'd guess.

A mature Cali Bighorn from this area will run 200-225 lbs with 30 lbs of that being horn.

Congratulations Bob on a great ram. One of the best "under pressure" shots I've seen on a ram. Especially with me barking in your ear saying "you have to shoot NOW!!!"
It was a great day with some great guys and I finally got to meet the "LEGENDARY" Billy the Kid Rock!  :)
Thanks for letting us be a part of you OIL hunt.

Too funny.

It was great meeting you. This was Bob's hunt, but I had a blast and you and Beau were a big part of it.

Sheep meat is delicious if prepared correctly.  Bob was gracious enough to give me the tenderloins (my son's favorite). They will make a great appitizer for tonights dinner.

Congrats bobcat on the ram and you can't beat going downhill packing one of them off that mt.  also, didn't bone post a pic a couple years ago showing a bunch of rams and there testicles?  I wonder if animals testes are going to become the new trophy instead of racks. :yike: :chuckle:

Great ram! I see you had a couple of sheep experts with you.

Yes we sure did.
