Thurston County Buck

Heck of a deer season.. Hunted hard all season. Let lots of small bucks live and actually missed 2 decent 2 points, one early season and one on first day of late buck. Staying positive and even when I was physically and emotionally spent, I kept at it. The streak continues at 10 years. Feeling excited, relieved and tired.

Oh....140 grain Accubonds with 55.5 grains of IMR-4831 through the ole ticker at 179 yards down hill with the .270

Swelled up pretty good and oh my gosh did he stink! He was with 3 does. When I got down to him there was this big ol breed doe that just wouldn't leave. She just stood there barking at me over and over. I noticed a dozen scrapes on the way out. His bases are packed with bark. Pretty cool.
