That's crazy they lay down in the same spot right in front of your camera.

Last weekend. There were 4 bucks all bedded together. This one and one other were close in score. Got a buddy with a late archery tag into 50 yards and he missed!  :bash: But it was really cool watching them through the spotters. A couple got up and sparred and we watched as they took turns putting their heads on the ground and snoozed. I love mature mule deer with a passion. Even if I don't have a tag in my pocket! This buck was a nice wide and heavy 4x4 with eye guards, he has weak backs but pretty decent fronts and a kicker off his back right. It would have been my buddies biggest buck by far. After the miss I asked if he had a good time at least and he was shaking and all he could say was "that was awesome!"

Out the window of my parent's house with my iPhone through my binocs.   :chuckle: ... and of course I had been out chasing bucks with my muzzleloader all morning with no luck.

He thought he was hidden.  He has a year to get a little wiser or he will be a freezer filler.   :chuckle:

Lets see if I can just lay here maybe he won't notice me!!

Does sleeping standing up count for 'as they lay?'
