Awesome dad and daughter hunt.. Congrats!  Centaur, have you tried loading your VID into youtube and posting that link?  That seems to work well.

Well i hope this works! Here is a short version of the almost 10 minute video of my daughter shooting her first bull. Unfortunately you can't see the elk, but they are in the tree's on the far hillside between her and the bush on her left.

Montana allows youth that will be turning 12 by January 16th, 2015 to purchase a tag and she will be 12 in a few days.

I have her shooting a pretty light load this year because of her size and me wanting her to be completely comfortable with her rifle. Her loads are Hornady BTHP'S and a whopping 87 grain bullet. I had my 300 ultra mag with us but she didn't want to shoot it at the range and I really didn't want her shooting at something with a rifle she has never shot before. I offered it up many times but she kept telling me "I GOT THIS DAD" and she was right!

Sweet. Good example for people that think it takes a magnum to bring down elk. He was lights out pretty dang fast.

:yeah: my 11 year old is taking hunters safety this year. I can't wait share moments like this with her. Just awesome!
