I ended up getting the Tikka T3 300 win mag
« on: December 12, 2014, 06:52:46 PM »
Here is what I ended up getting. I wasn't sure if I wanted the 300 win mag or the 300 wsm. I think I got a great deal on this Tikka T3 300 win mag. I appreciate all the input everyone put in. It came with a leupold vx 2 3-9x40 and the strap the lens covers and the hard case.

I have the t3 lite in 300win myself and in my opinion its an great value. 300 win is an excellent caliber and very versatile. You made a solid choice.

No results yet.  I need to find time to go out and shoot probably won't get out till after the New Year.  I'm going to put warne scope rings on there, but still deciding if I want a more powerful scope.

If it doesn't already have a limbsaver, put one on it.

I'd ditch the factory rings and buy some Talley lightweights.  You'd hate to have them fail out in the wilderness, and they don't have a great reputation.

Warne rings are good and strong. 3 to 9 scope should work well for the vast majority of hunting situations.

I have the same rifle in .338 WM   No Sims pad but I had a muzzle break installed, its works great.   Also check out the DNZ mounts, great bang for the buck. I've traveled a lot with this rifle and have never had it lose zero.

I've got the DEDNUTZ scope mount on my Tikka 300wsm. I think they are one of the best systems out there.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Did the same for mine . The Tikka's, at least the ones I own,  seem to shoot the hornady superperformance ammo really well.

That SuperFormance is warm stuff! I shot it in my Sig 716 and had to turn the piston gas down, it would flat move that .308 bolt carrier group.
