sportsman show horns
«

My buddy has a non-typical whitetail he was thinking about taking to the show but if he took them could he bring them back home the same day or they have to stay there he did;nt want to go back up again to get them. Also to have any chance to win something what kind of score would he have to have for his horns I told him probley around 170 but really I don't have any idea so if someone knows holler.

You don't have to leave them.

I think back in 2011 I checked in at the booth about having some Blacktail Sheds scored at the show. They said you needed to leave them there until they could get to them to score them. They said at least 2-3 hours. Once they were scored you could come pick them up.

I asked this on another thread, but do you know if you can have a buddy drop a set of antlers off for you, then pick them up yourself on sunday?

You can drop them off and have them scored to be picked up the same day. If he thinks he's got a chance to win a prize it might be worth going back up the next day for it. I went back and got a rifle.

My buddy is going saturday. I was going to have him drop off my deer antlers, then we both were planning on going sunday. What did you enter to win a rifle?

I believe in order to win a prize, don't you have to enter them and win or place in all the shows? Portland, Yakima ect?

I think you're right about that for the "big" prizes.

To make it worth taking them anyone know what kind of a score a non-typical whitetail would need to be in the running. Just ballpark figure.

in 2011 I brought my archery muley, it took two hours to score them, I left the show and found out later I won 1st place in the archery catagory and won a prize but I didnt want to go all the way back to claim my prize so I lost out.
