I don't know where you got your information, but it is incorrect for common scenarios.An Oregon resident pays $29.50 for a hunting license, $24.50 for a deer tag, and $42.40 for an elk tag. That's a total of $96.50. A Washington resident pays $84.50 for the same package.

So any fee you pay is the state "screwing" you? People in Oregon probably talk about how much better off Washington residents are, with no state income tax.
