How many rounds per box?
What's the most dangerous thing said in the US Navy? -- A Chief Petty Officer saying "Watch this s$%^!!"

"I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: 'I served in the United States Navy.'"

Not sure how many rounds in the box just know it is like one of the 30 cal metal boxes when IK saw them I was still in shock from seeing the price on reloading dies.... $104. for a set of dies had to have assistance4 picking my jaw up off the floor when I saw that price. figured the dies must be made of gold or platinum

XM855 on strippers in 30 cal cans is usually a 420 count.

Call them. I bet 200 rounds. That seems to be the normal quantity.

I did not know that. Educate me on the, " Strippiers " ? What do you do with them, spend an hour or so taking all the loaded ammo out of the clips to use them ? I'm not being a smart arse, since I honestly do know. Is it worth it to buy it that way is what I'm getting too....

You can push the loaded stripper down in to the magazine, then use you hand to hold the ammo in the mag and the other to pull the stripper clip out real fast.  It strips the rounds off and leaves them in the mag fast.

Still not that great a price.....A guy can find 1000 rounds of ammo for under $350 all day long.  Is there something special about this M855 that I don't know about??

I THINK, the M885 is what the military uses and is made by Federal.  :dunno:

That's what I thought....nothing special.  I buy brass cased .223 for under $350 shipped to my door.  This is pushing the $500 per thousand.  :yike:

Have you heard that ATF is in the process of banning the commercial sale of 855 now?  You can still own it and use it, but won't be able to buy from retail.  Think of it more investment like--when it isn't on the shelves in a year what will gun show prices be?

Correct me if I am wrong....that is just the 855...you will still be able to buy brass cased .223, right?  If so then why would the price go up.  Is there a huge following for the 855?   Is it better than the commercial .223?

Just trying to learn, not trying to be sarcastic.
