Utah pref/bonus pts
« on: March 19, 2015, 06:01:02 PM »
It's getting down to crunch time, I know. But I'm going to apply for some bonus points. Am I understanding correctly that the preference point is for general deer only? I don't know much about Utah yet, but would it be worth it to buy it as well if I'm wanting to hunt deer in UT?

Also - where do you find tag #s, application success rates, etc? Or can you? Not seeing it in their guidebook.

Not anymore. Its on a site called Hunterstrailhead. Its $25 a year, but theres  a lot of information. Almost any western state, any species, you can look up draw odds. Doesn't recommend areas, but they do have information on specific areas like success rates, public land %, past years applicants so you can get a trend, etc.

That's sad...that was a killer site. Of course, they never had Washington! Is that added now?

No, still no WA! I think WA and CA are the only two western states that they don't have set up. It is the same deal that was on Monstermuleys, it was free there. I guess you can't blame them for charging for a service. Everyone else does.
