Heard it's super slow. Probably doesn't help with the nets down stream and how low the Skagit is, so they probably mop up.

My son & I spent about 8 hours below Gilligan Creek today.  Nary a bite, but another guy hooked a nice sockeye and lost it.  Didn't see any boats landing fish.  Pretty slow.

Milky white today.  The bite is off.  If you try, you best upsize the spin-n-glow.

Was the bite ever on? I heard with these low water conditions the netters have been getting most of them near the mouth.

Fish are being caught, but I am guessing by what I have seen, that the tribes will be way over there harvest quota.  Or they will only report near there harvest quota.  Not sure if or who polices there catch.

I heard they did real well at Youngs bar Sunday. I also heard there weren't that many nets in the river because they are making more money catching crab.

What does tag mean?

It means they can't press the notify button on the bottom right of this tread
So that let's you know when a new post comes up on the thread? Hmf... Finally learned something new today.

Fished from about 5-11 this morning and never touched a fish.
Nails bring that boat and I take you fishing ...but I have to tell you that I will catch more fish from the bank than I will in a boat !

Maybe this is the reason we didn't hook any sockeyes this weekend.   :dunno:

Why do the fish need be netted? Couldn't they just pull a truck up to the ladder shoot, count off the allotted number and call it a day?

The river has been pretty darn milky the past couple days has that helped or hurt fishing?

Then the state would actually know how many fish they caught.  It would also take away from the ancestral use of "mono" nets to catch fish. :bash:
