P.S.   That Vandeman bull is ludicrously fat.   I wonder if that's what elk say about me.....

This will help you sleep at nights :)

This bull also has swollen knees. He looks like he is about 280" and needs to hang on my wall...Anyone want to push him to a Westside unit and then tie him to a tree so I can sneak up on him?
Wishing I was fishing...or in Wyoming

Now I know what to look for!
Economy failure = Too many people spending money they don't have on things they don't need to impress people they don't like.

It would make me restless if I had that tag in my pocket and had to wait several more months to fill it. Stud bull and a shooter for sure but there are bigger!

Here's a colockum bull that should hit close to the 400 mark this year

Holy antlers batman! I'd be a mess with that tag! I'm still looking for my first bull and to see all these pics is crazy! I Don't think id be able to hold out for a huge one. I'd see a branch bull and yep, hunt over! Haha. I guess if I already had a few wall hangers though, I'd probably hold out for a monster! Can't wait to see what you end up shooting!

Its easy to TALK BIG!  Heck I have been begging for a peaches tag. Now that I have one, the mindset kinda changes.

Make the most out of your hunt! ANY BULL is a bonus.
Could not agree more.

Enjoy a great opportunity for a rare hunt and don't get hung up on inches unless that is what gives you satisfaction.  Take the shot you want to take - for me, a perfect trophy to end that hunt would be the mature bull that has no clue I am there, slightly quartering away at 20 yards with no vegetation between us.  The one that spews blood out both sides, runs a 50 yard half circle, and nose plants stone dead with an empty circulatory system.  I wouldn't care if he had broken tines, asymmetry, or other deductions.

To each their own, but I have no patience for judging another hunter's prowess by gross or net score of their kill.  I'm far more impressed by the hunter who passes a questionable shot on a high scoring animal.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Well then color me impressive.  I passed on a monster 80" whitetail a couple years ago at 14 yards.  He's probably a high scoring animal by now -- that counts right?

 :chuckle:
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

THANKS for the pics guys! I'm going to due my best to hold out! Seen a group of 6 last Sunday that are all going to be good bulls. And Seen my fist monster through the scope miles away, trying to track him down this weekend. Did get to see a nice cat up close, got a really good video of her at 20yrds walking by me on the trail! Don't often get to seen them besides a flash as they jump, so it was pretty awesome!
