Like minimum wage, this just drives business out of city limits.

On that note.

Restaurant Prices in SF Rise by 14% After a Recent 14% Increase in the Minimum Wage There

The libs will get what they want, higher prices on guns and food, which disproportionately impacts the poor.

Some compassion there.

This is just another farce designed to do nothing in practice, except impact lawful business owners on their bottom line, while lawful possessors will purchase elsewhere, and while criminals will continue to get them as they always have, straw purchases, theft, and black market.

Don't strain your arm giving yourself a pat on the back, Seattle.

What if guns had rainbow patterns and the ammo came in a box like crayons, each bullet a different color?  Oh and the guns could be fired lefty or righty for those that go both ways?  Could it get an exemption in Seattle?

"That could fund a two-year gunshot-victim-intervention program and study at Harborview, says Fred Rivara, professor of pediatrics at the University of Washington and a core member of the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center. A 2014 report by the center found that individuals hospitalized with gun injuries were more likely than others to be involved in crimes, shot again or murdered."

How is this intervention going to help the person on the receiving end of the gun, teach them how to run faster? :chuckle:

Sounds like they would have to teach them that being a criminal and putting yourself in a position to get shot doesn't work out well.

5 cents on each round of ammo.  Note, don't buy the endangered species known as .22 LR ammo in Seattle.   :yike:

State Preemption should apply. RCW 9.41.290 - The state of Washington hereby fully occupies and preempts the entire field of firearms regulation within the boundaries of the state, including the registration, licensing, possession, purchase, sale, acquisition, transfer, discharge, and transportation of firearms, or any other element relating to firearms or parts thereof, including ammunition and reloader components.

Ridiculous and a burden specifically designed to discourage the purchase of firearms and ammunition. This is so unconstitutional that if it's passed, it'll be struck down within minutes by any circuit court in the country, the 9th included.

only in Seattle! he!! beat the surcharge too! Steal a bicycle (since they are all over) drive down the street that was converted with vehicle registration dollars to a bike trail to that remote parking lot to break in and steal the car to drive out of town to purchase your gun (as you are not yet that convicted felon) return to town and rob the corner store with said gun, to purchase your pot from the local greenery saving 25$ which can buy you more weed! So you can go back out in the stolen car and kill someone with said vehicle still in town.... Brilliant!!!

I took WSU's comment as parody.
