CVA Accura Long Range 30' Muzzle loader

Does anyone know if CVA makes this in a Northwest addition?

I don't think it comes in a northwest version, but it seems to me all you'd need to do is replace the breech plug with the $28.00 Northwest breech plug.

I'm guessing the breechplug shown in the link would work too. I seriously doubt CVA has a custom one for the 30" model.

I think CVA also replaces the firing pin/spring assembly in the NW edition rifles as well as changing out the BP.  I think you can purchase the firing pin/spring assembly along with the BP to convert it.  Like Bobcat said Myrtle Creek might know more about this, or just call CVA.  I have had really good luck talking with the people at CVA.

Currently, we do not recommend converting any of the other model Accura's to a Northwest version. We do now stock the firing pin kit and breech plug, however there were issues in the past with hammer springs, and the Northwest model has a different spring. Our thought is that at some point they will upgrade all of the Accura springs, however it has not happened yet. Also, the Long Range Accura is not drilled and tapped for open sights, which is the other crucial Northwest component. So the accura Nw edition does have a problem with the firing pin spring ? My cousin has that gun, bought it new, and he had several miss fires at the range.

if you have an accura v1 or v2 or any earlier model cva's with the light hammer spring, that will cause fail to fires due to the lighter hammer hitting force. They have been upgrading all their guns with the heavier hammer springs so they can be converted easily.

should be ok then. The early ones had a very easy hammer to pull back with your pinkie. One complaint, that heavy hammer spring has been making the triggers feel heavier. I prefer the light spring with the 2 - 2.5lb trigger pull.
