My dads commercial fisherman buddy who is 84 years old just hammered them last week. 800 pounds one night and 600 each two openers after. The old guy just can't give it up. I wouldn't have a problem with never going to my job again. Its easy to see he loves his. He still fishes in Bristol bay. This squirt of rain ought get am moving in.

The nets are in from Sunday from 4pm until Wednesday at 4pm every week, if I make a trip I usually go Thursday through Sunday morning to better my chances. I fish up high on the river and I've pulled 3 out in the last 2 weeks, but it has been very slow compared to other years I've heard there's still a lot hanging out in the bay.

Good to know about the nets, helps me zero as those are my days off  :bash:

I landed a wild coho about 8lbs and lost about a 15lb Chinook at the bank on Sunday. Went out Monday and didn't get a bite. A lot of crazy jumping coho and some darker Chinook was about all I saw. I fish the highs with spinners though so I can't comment on the uh-em fishermen at low tide.

Yeah hopefully there's a lot more fresh kings waiting to come in! I won't be spending any time there now that the coho are in the rivers, I've been hitting them consistantley in the snoho the past week.

I hear you, aside from being very entertaining jumpers as they swim up, not being able to keep them makes it pretty pointless.

I have shifted focus to the Stilly as it's 5 minutes from home. Do you bank fish the Snohomish?

Yeah but it's fun to hook into some of those fatty natives! I've caught and released some big boys out of there. And no I have a soft boat I take on the snohomish, the coho have really started showing up good this last week
