Quote from: billdo5 on September 07, 2015, 09:38:34 PMWell thx for ur opinion my father has also been hunting for 40 years and he shot his buck last year at 93 yards... And he used to hunt instinctive recurve just like me... His last bow was bill Stuart's last bowever made that he named the deerslayer for my dad.. As time change so does technology and the capability of shooting farther distances if u don't like that I'm sorry.. and huntnnw i dont care about ur opinion at all lol... You can talk whatever crap u want but all it does is make u look jealous... truth is 10% of the hunters on here kill 90% of the animals and u fall in the 90% that kill the 10% so hate all you want please.. Makes me feel even better about myself You're exactly right *censored* if i was huntnnw i would be jealous, I'm sure you saw that little dink he shot this year!

Seems like you had another entertaining thread on here last year, maybe two years ago? Something to read I guess. Very nice buck, Congrats.
I pray every year Bildo kills something so I can be entertained by his B.S. 90 yard frontal shot is retarded but I thoroughly enjoyed the comments. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume Bildo exaggerates the truth at times...carry on.

You posted the distance you chose to shoot on a public forum so responses are quid pro quo I figure. You ranged that animal at 90 yards and decided to take a high odds chance at wounding him? Ridiculous. You were very, very lucky, plain and simple to put an arrow in a softball size kill zone at that distance. When u group a paper plate at 90 yards then maybe u could do it... U just need some practice I guess Or u just live in the city and can't shoot that far in ur back yard if u have one No, I have never lived in a city and do not now. Sure, I practice out to 60 yards for the possibility of an opportunistic second shot on my property in the country. I'm sure you are "very" aware of what can and oftentimes happens while an arrow is in flight at even 40 or less yards to a previously stationary big game animal. Hitting a paper plate at 40 or even 90 yards does not guarantee success every time on a hunt. After nearly 40 years of bow hunting, I know this. Big game critters seemingly decide to take a step, flinch, or whatever many times right at the second we touch off an arrow. Long range shooting is risky to say the least. Those who think otherwise more than likely, wound more than they care to admit. I'm not that hungry that I'm willing to take those chances. Just my old Hunter thoughts. Again, congrats on a very nice buck. You won't be able to tell this kid anything, Phantom. He knows everything. I call that a lucky shot. You can hit a paper plate at 90 yards. Great. You can't reliably hit a potentially moving target at 90 yards. Who knows what that deer's going to do in the time it takes that arrow to reach its target. If you're going to shoot that far you should just use a rifle. Jackleope im not using a bow that shoots under 300fps... shooting 342 fps
