Anyone hunting up reecer creek or table mountain?
« on: September 18, 2015, 11:42:28 AM »
Since the fire move closed to bumping I'm thinking about checking out reecer creek. Only been up once turkey hunting but saw about 40 elk at that time. Wondering how the hunting population is and if the elk usually stick around during hunting season. Any info helps!

I would check it out. Lots of camps, the elk are there though. Hopefully the little rain that came through quieted things down a bit, was pretty crunchy.

Heading back over there tonight.  Opening weekend was pretty good but my buddies told me that the rain did quite things down a bit, like nothing is talking anymore.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Interesting, I am east of Reecer a few miles. I was there through Monday this week and they were screaming till about 10 each morning then dead silent the rest of the day. I am heading out here shortly for round 2.

It caught me off guard but they said absolutely nothing talking this morning.  Hopefully it turns back on.  I have a couple of places to check that I think they might be keeping quiet in.

Was up there last weekend and never seen so many camps and guys during archery season before. I'll be up there the next three days trying to avoid the crowd.
