Well I am a believer now !  This year has been crazy and the most fun I had in years . Was not about me , it was all about family . I seen more nice bucks this year than I have in along time .

My main goal this year was getting my son a good buck with his bow ..We have hunted some of the nasty brush known to man but I learn more and more every time I step into the woods . These bucks dig into the nastiest stuff they can find this time of year and you have to put in the effort to 1st find them and see them and then lucky enough to kill him .. I have hunted this area for years , sitting on trails and stalking the out skirts ..This time we headed right for them .. Right in their living room ..It was steep and nasty but once we figured it out it took about 2 hours to get it done ..

It was about 1:15 when we headed toward the bottom part of this huge alder patch ..by 2;30 we have seen 11 deer ...one huge 2 pt but he took off as soon as Kyle went for an arrow ...at 3:30 ish we headed out this grade and as we rounded a corner this bad boy stands up and 25 yrds down hill ... He looked huge ..That rack and that white face will be in my mind for along time ..I tell kyle  he is only 25 yrds ...KILL HIM ...No I was not that calm ...that deer should have turned inside out and took off but he just stood there ...This never happens to me ...Kyle was not calm either . He could not get the release hooked on his string loop ...hahaha This buck is not moving and finally he is at full draw ...I am praying this is going down in the history books and WHACK ...Straight threw the shoulder like no mans business ...Complete pass threw ....I am hoping this Savora head held up ! It did ! I instantly find the arrow ..Everything is intact and covered in blood .. The shoulder shot was not intentional but that's where he hit ! It was awesome !!!  Thanks again Radsav !!!  Hopefully I can find another one before Wednesday ! I really do not care if I do but I will not pass one up if he pops up ! JB will retire his Wasp for sure now !!!!  Lmao   I think I am using the Pink one 1st !

Last day hunting with our best friend and the wife decided to take a meat doe to end the season.  50 yards from her 50# Kobalt shooting the TripleSec with solid Vandyke blades.  Took out both those big bones.  Not sure I have ever seen bones blow up like that before.  Those little heads and large point are crazy!  Arrow and about five large bone fragments were laying on the ground right where the deer stood on impact.  Nice when no blood trailing is needed!

Congratulations to Kyle   That's what we call a MASHER of a buck :chuckle:
