A brief and tough update. Bruce saw his cardiologist and his heart muscle is quite damaged, only pumping about 30%. This probably caused the stroke. They're likely going to do an implant that will defib him when volume goes below a certain level, but it's just a band-aid. Eventually, he'll need a heart transplant. It's very discouraging. I don't see being able to get him out doing anything this fall and I fear for his safety. His wife's been a real cornerstone through this whole thing and she sounded like she was crumbling yesterday. I know she'll find more strength, but it's one thing after another.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. We've still got an awfully long way to go for him to have any semblance of a normal life down the road.

Thank you for being with him and his wife/family.  Anything needed to help the family out at this time?
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Thanks for asking. Not sure at this time if they need anything other than a little sanity and physical stability. I appreciate you asking.

No apologies necessary, Fred. Thanks and I'll pass those along to them. I'm headed over there today. Saturday we're going to the RMEF dinner together. I hope he wins something memorable.

Bahuna had a mini stroke over the weekend. He's actually recovered from it well as the blood thinners he's on dissolved it pretty quickly. They're very concerned about why it happened and about his heart, which is not working near full capacity. Please keep him in your thoughts.

Sorry to hear this but glad he has rebounded well. I hope the Dr can pinpoint the issue and get him fixed up.
Thanks for the update Pman.
