To the jack in the Entiat
« on: October 28, 2015, 12:37:10 PM »
I hope you are not a member on here, but if you are, stop using your scope as a pair of bino's!!!  You had my 13 year old son so scared that he hid behind a burnt up log and asked if we could leave.  My son and I were having a great hunt watching a group of deer with 3 small bucks that were sparing and playing around.  Then you, in your maroon Jeep cherokee pulled up over 600 yrds away and decided it was a good idea to point your rifle at us.  We were wearing orange, you knew we were people!  Why would you do this?  This was in the mud creek area by the way.  Be careful out there, I just don't understand this kind of behavior.

Its retards like this that need to be banned from owning firearms, period.

Actually, its retards like this that give the gun control advocates more ammunition.

It would've scared me to death also, sorry you had to go through that.

I would have pointed my rifle right back at them...

You're already covered in orange making it obvious that you're not a deer. If someone points a scoped rifle at me I'm not going to waste time speculating as to their intentions.  They have already demonstrated the means, opportunity, and intent to cause serious/lethal bodily harm.

The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

About the same thing happened to my son and I.  We dumped a buck and walked up to it.  The buck was still flopping around, so I wanted to get up close and put him out of his misery.  Then out of the blue, two jacktards on the mountain 400 yards away start taking pot shots at the buck.  We were wearing orange, and they could see us.  We were 100' from the buck and had to take cover.  I left my son tucked into the rocks, and when they ran out of bullets, I dispatch our buck.  One of the jacktards even had the gall to come down to see if he hit anything.  We switched to primitive hunting seasons after that.  We've had enough of the jackolantern patch.  You might consider doing the same.  Your son would likely enjoy the solitude.   :twocents:

Me and my wife got scoped while sitting on private property in a blind.  All the property in the area is private....and road hunters / I will call them poachers, scoped us and a group of deer from the county road.  We were 1000 yards from the road.....but it was very clear through my swarovski's they gun was pointed right at us.  Pretty unbelievable that some people are this dumb.   :bash: :bash:

Bean,
I had the guy ranged at 612 yards so I knew what my hold over was in case something happened.

That could be considered "Brandishing" and a would be charged as Assault.

Technically hunting would be considered "open carry" of a rifle. BUT if that rifle is aimed at a person... now we are getting into a possibly illegal situation.

I am sure the person isn't a member. Doing something like that isn't done by anyone who is part of a good community.

That said cooler heads have lower legal bills.  :chuckle:
