Cenci Gains Control of More Officers
« on: November 03, 2015, 06:23:57 PM »
The title says it all.

Deputy Chief Mike Cenci now oversees all westside WDFW Enforcement operations while Deputy Chief Mike Hobbs oversees the eastside. When Crown became Chief he made Cenci in charge of just marine (saltwater) operations, but he also expanded the areas where marine operations where included such as the Columbia River up to the Benton/Klickitat County line. Previously marine operations ended on the lower Columbia west of Vancouver.

Nice to see all the drama the agency is going through is working in favor of the officers....  :bash:

Is this a recent development?  If so,  is there any publicly available doc's out yet that announce this change?

Very recent.

Nothing like a press release or anything like that. But the enforcement personnel contacts section on the WDFW website does list the change.

Is it like a promotion of sorts?  If so, would that mean he is in a final time period to finish out for retirement at an advanced level?

Thanks bigtex. Would Unsworth have had to sign off on this or is it Crown's prerogative to make this change?

Same rank just different oversight. Under Bjork he was the only Deputy Chief. Then under Crown he was the Deputy Chief who oversaw marine ops. Now he is the Deputy Chief who oversees Western WA.
