Storm is pushing down lots of birds!

Lots of new birds. Decided to hunt before work.  16 minute hunt wasn't expected, but it happened.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Nice work! I'm heading to the blind this evening. Hopefully I'll do as good as you

Tons of birds and I got my limit of wet gear.  I had about 8-10 in the dekes before shooting light that somehow snuck out.  Once the sun came up, they wouldn't get within 100 yards of the WDFW layout blinds.  Really neat morning watching the thousands and thousands of birds migrating through.

This rain should really help fill the puddles that need filling.

I didn't know that WDFW had layout blinds.

I didn't either until this morning.  Imagine an XXXXL coffin that is painted a different shade of green than the grass with no brush or anything to help conceal it.

LOL – that’s sounds about as effective as those fake grass huts that they put up in the middle of a muddy field.

Yeah, I had three strikes:

1.  Sucky blind that was so visible, I found it in the dark from 50 yards away.
2.  No sheet water, so I had 30+ floaters in the mud and grass.
3.  Sucky calling.

Not necessarily in that order :o

Very nicely done. I'm hitting my field blind in the morning

Wouldn't mind a good 70 mph west wind to push all these new birds east instead of South.

Try dragging those blinds around or shifting them.  They are made to stay in place.   :chuckle:

That last wind storm produced some pretty fast limits for sure!
