What a horrible tragedy for his family.  I read they believe he fell from an 80-foot embankment.  Could happen to any of us.  Prayers of comfort for his family, and thanks for all the search and rescue crew.  Make sure you give extra thanks for your family tomorrow!

Freezing fog is normal for this time of year around that area.  It would not be out of the question to walk right off a cliff.

heart felt prayers for his family,I can say if I was to die ,doing what I loved would be easier on my family if that makes any sense

I hope my family understands that!  Seems so much better than wasting away in a hospital bed being eaten from the inside out by some cancer or worse.

We feel absolutely horrible that the family has to go through this.  Terrible accident and a horrible time of year to lose a loved one.  Will be thinking and praying for them even more tomorrow.  If there can be a positive among such loss...at least the great search and rescue folks that worked this have given the family the opportunity to start the healing phase of this tragedy.  Will be giving thanks for those people and so many like them tomorrow as well.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I could see that happening. Walking in the dark before sunrise in heavy fog or perhaps even stepping to the edge of a cliff to glass the valley below and loosing your footing and sliding off.

I remember years ago there were some kids camping at Sage lake up at the Potholes. Pitch dark, middle of the night, one moment the person was there, the next they wernt because they took one step and plunged to there death off a cliff.

Tom was a just a great all around guy and I enjoyed many hunting stores he told me during matches at SVRC.   He was a hunt-washingtion member that went by the member name "Ibcnurun".   My prayers are sent to your famly and friends with great sadness and a very heavy heart.  Rest in peace Tom.
