Need a foster home for my dogs
« on: December 06, 2015, 10:35:03 AM »
I will be deploying soon and the person that was going to watch my dogs backed out on me.  I have two great labs that are great with other dogs, kids, adults and cats(as long as they don't run :chuckle:)  They are both fixed and 8 years of age.  They don't dig or chew on things.  My male will play catch all day if you let him, and my female lab loves to cuddle and get petted all day.  They enjoy hiking, hunting, boat rides, fishing, and dog parks. They will roam if given the chance.  A fenced yard is a must..   Please let me know if you are interested

Labs are the best dogs, I sure hope you find a home for them.  Thanks for your service and come home safe!

Good luck Seth.  If it was just a week or two, we'd offer....   :(

These are nice dogs, for anyone considering this.

Look up www.dogsondeployment.org it is a great organization that places your dogs in a great home while you are away.  I am proud to say that I am a member...

Hope it works out.

Bluemoon,
Never heard of this before.  Great concept
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

Did you find a place for your dog's? I'm a long way off and have three dog's of my own. Have two 6x6 kennels I seldom use and can take out the divider and make one 6x12 with two house's in it. I'd consider taking care of them while your gone, you just buy the food. I live in a very small town, Antelope, Ore, less than 40 people. I'm also retired so will be close with them all the time. If you can't find someone closer and would like to leave them here, they are still your's when you get back.
There's a reason I like dog's more than people

Hope you find a good home to watch them. I'm deploying very soon and luckily have someone I trust to watch Bailey.

dogsondeployment.com is a GREAT resource, I used them when I got to Fort Campbell. There is also another resource, guardianangelforsoldierspet.com does the same thing but does the work of finding the foster for you. I've used both and Guardian stepped up and found me a WONDERFUL woman to watch my dog for me while I was in Korea. GREAT GREAT resources!

I looked at that and was filling it out until I noticed you need to submit a copy of your military ID....  Looked great otherwise.
