Good water resistant/waterproof gloves?
« on: December 10, 2015, 10:49:16 AM »
Right now I'm rocking a pair of Sitka Traverse gloves and while they're not terrible in milder temps/dry conditions, they don't offer much when it starts raining or if its really cold.

What are you guys using for gloves?

The only truly waterproof I have been able to come up with is a pair of wool gloves inside a pair of heavy duty rubber gloves, but then I'm pulling anchor lines and doing other stuff in the rain on the water.

Neoprene seems to work also, but my hands get cold and clammy in them.

Kuiu Yukon Pro's when it's cold/wet.  Waterproof, and some insulation but they are still thin enough I don't feel like my dexterity is significantly diminished.  I've had this pair for almost two years, and the only time my hands feel even slightly damp is from sweating.

They are spendy, but if you've spent your life being frustrated by supposedly waterproof gloves that aren't, they may be the solution.

Yeah dry hands is one of those things..  like dry feet, makes a huge difference in comfort level in the field..  Was out last weekend and every 2 steps I would make a fist and get 1/4cup of water from my gloves, hands were all pruned up..  bleh!

Seal skinz work great
Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.
