New load gets the job done! ***Graphic***

A friend of mine has some varmint issues and asked for help.  Went out and tried a few times but the weather just wouldn't cooperate.  Finally got a break in the weather and did some calling.  About 17 minutes into my first stand this song dog walks in and holds up a few feet away from my decoy.  I put the beed on her and pulled the trigger.  She flopped over without a sound or twitch.  Using my #4 buckshot 2 3/4 custom load, was more than satisfied with the results.     used it on some raccoon's and it was a little sloppy, but for coyotes I have found the perfect load   Going to have this soft tanned and hanging in my man cave when its done.  First picture is  a selfie with the dog laying in the background.  I was 15 feet up in the tree, and yardage wise I think around 25.  2nd pic my tube cut, and the 3rd pic shows the damage the shot did. Really great grouping!!!

Great job, but with nearly a foot and a half hole in the pattern, appears to have one or two pellets at the last rib and one in the head I wouldn't count on it to be a sure fire load on coyotes.  An inch lower and you wouldn't have recovered that one.

Cougar125 you are correct   I nicked a artery   There were 8 holes in the coyote in that small group, wish now I would have taken a closer picture   Did a lot of testing on pallets before I stuck with this load.  Tried it out on some coons, and was a little too tight of a pattern and can you say ragu thick and chunky   Always glad to help a land owner out with predator issues, and even happier when they have such a beautiful pelt!

PM sent    There was 12 pellets uncounted for   I am assuming under and over the yote.  If it wasn't raining I would go back and check the mud to see the pattern there.

Love that #4 buck! I too am shooting hand loads but 3" and 35 pellet
