I just heard of one club costing 50k for a year....does this sound right?!?!?!?! Who would waste all that money on a club when you could do just do multiple one week trips to canada (where everyone gives you permission to hunt) or someplace south. I guess if you have the money and not enough time to travel...but still.
Who would waste all that money on a club
^^^ Sounds like French Creek! ^^^
Wonder if anynare affordable for a common man?

If I had 2k a year I would find some swamp land to buy where there are ducks and you can shoot a gun.Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Nice thing is you can leave your gear, decoys, etc and arrive 45-1 hour before legal shooting and your ready to roll! 12, 1, 2, 3am arrivals aren't required. As mentioned that fee gets you a spot in the blind!

I pick up at least 18-25 deeks that have floated away from the club blinds close to where I hunt.To me it's the same as littering/leaving beer cans and spent shells in the field.
I'm a part of a club that runs 2300 a year. It doesn't guarantee anything, other then a place to hunt, and a warm dry place to change. We plant corn and millet for the ducks. I can usually shoot a limit (90% mallards). We have had days where we shot 7-8 limits a couple times in 45 min. Clubs are not for everyone. I used to hate the idea but I'm really starting to like it.

Yes, they own the tidal flats. It's private property. That's why they run those off that try coming in and anchoring up. Once anchored they can call the sheriff or game warden and cite them for trespassing.

So for 2300 how many duck hunts are you getting? You did it last year so how many ducks did you get for $2300?Quote from: Tealer on January 05, 2016, 07:20:47 PMI'm a part of a club that runs 2300 a year.
