Timney or Gisley trigger

I have been looking at triggers for an ar. I am not a fan of the standard mil spec pull and feel. Just wondering what your thoughts are on a good after market trigger. I have been looking at Timney and Gisley and wonder what your experience is with them. Also what about the pins. It looks like from a design stand point the Gisley with anti roll pins is the way to go. I read some reviews on timney and the set screws worked loose on a few allowing the pin to come out.   Thanks for your input.

 Its not an AR, but I put a timney in my model 70 and love it. Wish I had done it years ago.  Nice smooth pull at a consistnt 3.2 poinds

Rainier Arms somewhere over there on the West side (Auburn maybe?  It's all Seattle to me.) has a display of quite a few triggers that you can try out.  It has been a year or so since I have been but it was nice to check out a half dozen or so manufacturers before purchasing my triggers. 

I went with a JP though.

I've got a timney in my big game rifle and a few geissele triggers in my ar's. I really like the geissele triggers personally and will continue to pay their crazy prices until I find a trigger I like more.

My AR has a geiselle trigger an,d I love it real crisp and light, having said that I will mention that my son bought it for me so that is really the only reason I have it. And the previous poster that mentioned Ranier arms (Auburn) was correct they have a good selection of triggers that you can try out right there great company!

Are you looking for a "Two stage" or "Single stage" trigger? Some companies carry both. Some carry one or the other. I prefer two stage triggers on AR's.  Rock River Arms does their two stage national match trigger and they can be found for around $75.00. I like them and use them in pretty much everything. I consider them the basic work horse type trigger. There is a world of after market triggers out there for the AR.

Also, it's pretty impressive how smooth and light you can get a AR trigger with a little love and the installation and adjustment of AR trigger pin.

This is what I'm reffering to. They work amazingly well. Especially when it comes to the trigger reset. It replaces the standard grip screw.

A local guy here in Wenatchee makes them. He supplies the trigger screw, polishes what's needed and installs and adjust your trigger and the factory trigger is incredible. All for $50.00
