Smoked eggs?
« on: January 03, 2016, 09:40:54 PM »
I've smoked so much stuff since getting a smoker 2 years ago, I've almost smoked my toothpaste!!

I'm sitting here with snow and freezing rain at the house, knowing I'm probly not driving the work van to yelm tomorrow.

Anyone ever smoke eggs? I threw it in the Google machine and everyone smoked them with shell on? (With good result). I don't really want to do that and was thinking of cracking the eggs in a muffin pan and smoking that way?

I've never tried smoking raw eggs. I have made smoked deviled eggs though.  Soft boil eggs so they aren't completely done.  Shell, then smoke for 30-60 minutes.  Cut them in half. Mix yolks with bacon and smoked cheese, mayo and mustard.    :EAT: :EAT:

I also make smoked deviled eggs and they are awesome! I hard boil them, take them out of the shell and then smoke them for 40 minutes. When done halve them and make whatever mix you like out of the yokes.

That sounds good.

I've only smoked them in the shell (hard boiled first). The whites will turn brown which is a little weird with and egg. More of a novelty to me as the egg salad sandwich was pretty disgusting. Don't think i'll be doing it again.
