New string and cable measurement

I'm looking at my Hoyt Carbon Spyder and wanting to order new strings and cables. On the winners choice website they want cable 1 and cable 2 length. I'm trying to find which one is which on the label on the limbs. Here is what is says. I'm not sure if this information even will tell me. I have a feeling str stands for string
Str: 56.125
Bc:  32.50
Cc:  34.75

Str- string
BC- buss cable, the one with the yoke, or "V" on top.
CC-control cable, two end loops.

When ordering strings i always put control and buss next to thier numbers, that way theres no confusion. Even though any good string builder will double check.

Ok thanks I will make sure to just put the BC AND CC next to the measurement. What do you think of winners choice

The set that came on my elite has been very stable with no peep rotation or serving separation after a year of shooting, but the attention to detail is lacking for thier high price. $110 for thier lowest set. Overpriced. Many makers out there that make the same or better string for a better price.

I prefer 60x strings. $75 for a set in BCY-X and they are higher quality than winners choice. Every set ive had the peep has settled in about 10-20 shots. Very tight servings and the lengths are spot on. I have nothing to do with them, i just like the strings and price.

But he is shooting a Carbon Spyder.  He is used to paying for things that are over priced!

 

Jellymon is right on the money.  Should always be in the order he mentioned.  Though always good to put "String", "Buss" and "Control" next to every length if the manufacture allows the note.  Very few name brand string makers out there that do not deliver a good product.  If they did deliver poor quality they wouldn't be popular with shooters.  It's one of the areas you can often save yourself $25-30 sometimes even $50 and still get the quality you are looking for.  Winners Choice, 60X, Wallace, America's Best, Vapor Trail, First String, Stone Mountain, Barracuda, Hog Wire...all popular makers of quality strings.

You've also got Denton at Rock Creek Archery right outside your back door.  You wouldn't even need to fill out string lengths.  Just drop the bow off and he'll do the rest!

  I did go in without saying I was going to buy the most expensive bow but bought the one that felt the best. It just cost the most too! Thanks guys I checked out those 60x strings they look quality. Would rock creek archery install the string or does he do custom strings radsav?

Denton makes a great custom string right there.  But I'm sure he would install a string you purchased elsewhere for a fee.  I just don't know what that fee would be.  You would need to call him for that.  Most shops that make their own custom strings will do the install and basic tuning for the price of the string.  Sometimes that and the elimination of shipping can be one heck of a bargain!  Especially on bows, like the Spyder, that can be a little timing sensitive.

Radsav why do you say it's timing sensitive? I love to shoot my bow but I'm not the best on making my own strings and cam timing. I do my own arrows though.  I usually just have shop tune it when I make changes.

All the Cam 1/2 systems seem to be touchy when it comes to timing.  Most do not shoot well unless there is some tiller adjustments or slight cam advancement.  I think it must have something to do with how narrow their valley is.  It's not difficult to time, easy actually, but a good shop with extensive Hoyt knowledge and good control cable really makes a difference.  I'm pretty sure Denton would have it dialed in with little effort.

IMO static of floating depends on cable guard.  Fixed, on a Cam 1/2, I like floating myself.  Flexible guards, or a desire to yoke tune, you will want static.
