There was one shot in the Badlands of NoDAk that started out west of Ft Peck.  They get around.

A male juvenile radioed in the southern Bighorn Mountains (North-central Wyoming) was killed near Fort Collins, CO - about 240 miles as the crow flies.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

In this case it was even more unusual because the cat was a female, and they don't normally travel very far like the males are known to do at times.

A couple of years ago I remember a cat that was hit by a car or something in CT which had traveled from MN maybe.

It's because too many are being killed by hunters, kill less and they won't roam around as much.

People get offended at nothing at all. So, speak your mind and be unapologetic.

What.......no? It's got to be true, it's a scientific study done by a professor at WSU and what WDFW have based their entire cougar plan on, how could it not be?

Of course the cat left Canada.  First, it's Canada.  Second, up there they shoot her with darts and put a collar around her neck!

Similar maps are regularly shown for griz, wolves, lost dogs, black bear, wolverine and more.  Should the  experts still be astounded?  More like normal behavior.
