As time allows I will try to keep this updated - please pass this along to everyone you know.

Next Friday, 5 February, is the cut-off for bills to pass out of their first policy committee (most gun bills out of House Judiciary or Senate Law & Justice). Theoretically, bills that do not move on through the process are considered dead for the session (subject to extraordinary action, rarely). That means most of the bills on the “active” list will drop out and we can narrow our focus, as well as support for or opposition to a narrower number of bills.

lots of bill trying to go through. I like the repeal of I 594
the others most I hate especially not being able to by a pistol unless you have a CCL of concealed pistol license that's BS.
the one that puts convicted felons into a data base is the very reason Huntrights was stating in 2013 that that bill to make all felons register was a bad idea now you see the next step.
Fro those that say  writing a bad check is a felon. If people can't see the far reaching implications of most these bills, and are thinking so what they wont be effected are living some pipe dream for unless your a lawyer no one is aware of all the laws that could get anyone arrested and convicted of a felon. loss gun rights no more second amendment.
Especially those who plan on not complying with these draconian laws, hope you don't go supporting them being jailed when some are.

AN ACT Relating to requiring permission to bring a concealed firearm into another person's residence or dwelling place;

It is unlawful for a person to carry a concealed firearm into the residence or dwelling place of another person without first obtaining the express permission of the owner or person in legal control or possession of the residence or dwelling place.

A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor.

Upon conviction for a violation of this section, the court shall order the person to surrender any concealed pistol license and prohibit the person from obtaining a concealed pistol license for a period of five years from the date of conviction.

 The court shall forward the date of conviction and a copy of the person's driver's license or identicard, or comparable information, to the department of licensing within three judicial days after conviction. The department of licensing shall immediately notify the license issuing authority if the department of licensing's records indicate the convicted person has a concealed pistol license. Upon receipt of the notification, the license issuing authority shall immediately revoke the person's concealed pistol license for a period of five years from the date of conviction.

The one I dislike most is 2460 the one that says cities, and municipalities can regulate when and where people can carry guns they way they want.
This passes you more than likely wont be able to go outside because any further than your front door it will be illegal to carry.

Am I the only one that really gets depressed looking at this list?

An honest question "Where does this political degeneracy come from?". How long can a country stay free with constant attacks on the dignity and freedom of it citizens? Have traveled all over the world, and will make the bold statement America is the ONLY free country in the world. That includes Europe, they are slaves to the state and have had dignity breed out of them for the most part. Talk to anyone under 40 from Europe and they are Bernie fans soul deep and have no concept of life without the state running it.

Have been "seeking" to understand what creates the world view and "Anti-Survival Instinct" the anti-2nd crew has? And of course look at all the other liberty destroying and community destroying legislation always being pushed. We should be expected to be compassionate enough to let drug dealers park their RV next to schools, and are "mean" if we have issue with that. Jeez.

I am encouraged by letters to the editors in my local paper. Some writers I never agree with, who write often.  I saw one of those writers post a letter today that said get off the the gun owners back and address the other problems.
Some folks are coming around and realizing all the gun laws are doing nothing and only distracting from the real problems.

But we have to keep after it at any cost to protect our 2A.

AN ACT Relating to liability insurance requirements for firearm owners and purchasers

(1) (a) It shall be unlawful for a person to purchase a firearm unless, at the time of the purchase, the purchaser presents to the seller proof that the purchaser is covered by a qualified liability insurance policy.

(b) It shall be unlawful for a person to sell a firearm unless, at the time of the sale, the seller verifies that the purchaser is covered by a qualified liability insurance policy.

(c) It shall be unlawful for a person who owns a firearm purchased on or after the effective date of this section not to be covered by a qualified liability insurance policy.

A person who violates this section is subject to a fine in an amount of up to ten thousand dollars.

Here was my posting on this one when I opposed it. 

Please OPPOSE this bill, this is prejudicial against gun owners who cannot afford liability insurance and will reduce the ability of low income families to be able to defend themselves.  These same people are often stuck in low income housing which has a higher rate of violent crime than the average neighborhood. This will result in either families breaking the law in order to protect themselves or them not being able to protect themselves and their families. 

This is also just one more step in the anti-gun agenda to make exercising our 2nd Amendment rights more difficult.

Please OPPOSE this bill and please let me know where you, my representatives, stand on these issues being proposed that will do nothing to reduce violent crime.
