SB 6308 - 10 bucks more for state duck stamp
« on: January 28, 2016, 10:43:13 PM »
Cha-Ching... I don't hunt duck.... Had to buy the federal stamp this year... Thought it was still $15....

Reminds me of the Ronnie Dunn song; cost of livings high and going up.

It costs more to hunt duck & goose than it does to hunt big game.  :bash:

As with most things regarding WDFW, I would like to see an accounting of the uses for this increased revenue.

It's getting pretty expensive to fight for public waterfowl hunting. I'm to a point where it's not worth it for me unless there are tangible, increased opportunities in my area. We get out at 4 AM and there's already people in the spots now.

Unless you live in a pretty rural area  I think you have to really open up the wallet and have a boat. Up here in skagit county a boat isnt necessary but lots of scouting is.  Imo nothing ruins a mediocre hunt like some jackwagon setting up 50yards away.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
