My New Waterfowl Gun Arrived
« on: January 25, 2016, 08:17:13 PM »
Cabelas called Sun to tell me it was in. A LH Beretta A400 Extreme in Max 5. After 2 LH SBEII's and they both went back to Benelli twice, I switched. Couldn't deal with the constant jamming. Cabelas really treated me well thru this whole ordeal.
Really looking forward to this new gun. Skeet field tomorrow nite and on the big C this Sat for some divers. Picked up a new Patternmaster already too.

Let us know how you like it.  I shot about a 100 rounds through one to try it out.  I would have had to shim it to get it to where I liked it, but seemed like a nice gun.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

I had a Beretta 20 years ago for ducks, was a waterfowl model that came with a matt finish wood stock, first trip duck hunting in the PNW, the stock swelled up and cracked the coating against the recoil pad. Beretta told me the gun got wet and they wouldn't cover repairs. Imagine how that call ended when you are told a waterfowl gun got wet, sold in the PNW, and its not covered for normal conditions here for any stock swelling. Gun worked well enough, just really soured over the customer service.  have only had composite stocks for waterfowl since, NONE are Beretta after my wonderful customer experience. Worth mentioning I had 4 other Beretta's at the time. Hope you don't have issues or customer service has improved. Curious what the problem was with the SBE's? Did you ever get anywhere with that? I have a couple and would like to know what they said. Have never had any hang fire.

Sweet blaster!  Was looking at one pretty hard myself, but ultimately couldn't justify the price difference and ended pulled the trigger on an SX3 instead.

Put about 150 shells thru it tonight on the trap and skeet fields at TSC. Action was a tad stiff for the first 3 or 4 shells then it functioned perfectly. Too bad the owner didn't function as well, LOL.
Fit great. Felt great. Gonna be a great gun. Just got done cleaning it. Ready for divers on Sat.
A You Tube Video about it.
