Cool pictures and nice animals.   Looks like I was there at the wrong time.  I was up there around 3 on Saturday and there was maybe a dozen bucks on display?  Not nearly as many as I was used to seeing.  Glad it filled in!

I had a question while there.  The rack (blacktail) on the top left was typical and the right was non-typical.  I saw almost mirror images of each other, I couldn't see why one was typical and not the other? (post 15)

So we finally have some answers.  A new Washington state record! Non-typical whitetail, scored 246 2/8. Taken by Buddy Hughes in Asotin County, 2013.  I'm surprised this Buck remained under the radar for this long! Awesome deer! Congrats to the hunter!

Are there answers or just a name to go with the buck? Anyone actually know Buddy Hughes?
Where has this buck been or his sheds been for the last __ years? The hunting community is a small world.

Very strange.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

That looks like a farm raised deer.

Im with you guys, I would love to know more about this deer too, but I guess I don't find it as hard to believe as some of you that there might be a hunter out there who doesn't care about the spotlight.

There's way more hunters out there every year that kill big bucks and find big sheds in Washington that keep it to themselves and close friends than are ever posted on the internet.  By a loooooong margin. :twocents:

I believe it... though it's rare to have a guy completely off the radar even when his name is out there like this one (assuming he is not using an alias). Either way, I'm glad he decided to share these amazing bucks with the rest of us.
