My first cat
« on: February 05, 2016, 06:45:32 PM »
Got my first one last night ( first year trapping )
I've had a good amount of luck this year and managed to catch every animal I had hoped to. There's a couple guys that have gone out of their way to point me in the right direction and lend traps/ expertise I'm not going to name them here but if they see this they'll know who they are.

Not much to tell really , been trying for cats since Christmas . I happened to see two of them about three weeks ago and made a set near where I had seen them. After nearly three weeks of daily checks I told the old lady that id pull them if I didn't get anything by this weekend . Well low and behold I had one last night .

I will say it's pretty damn cool being that close to a live predator , I tried to take video but it was dark so you can't see anything and for whatever reason it didn't pick up the sounds she was making, low growling sound and a couple of hisses. She did make one big lunge at me that moved the cage a foot or so , it's amazing how fast they can move
