Don't forget about this thread that pretty much says otherwise. http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,188769.msg2493154.html#msg2493154  :chuckle:

This makes no sense. You just trying to stir the pot. Gotta be one of the most random threads that I have seen

Exactly, I think 257 is hitting the sauce tonight. What's funny is he doesn't realize the more threads he starts that exposes Reicherts true "hunting" morals, or lack there of, the more likely people doing Google, Yahoo or Bing searches of Todd, the worse it makes him look. :chuckle:

Keep it up 257, with friends like you, he won't need enemies. You just keep "helping him right along" :chuckle:

Congrats at what?  Building an awesome 10 man treestand overlooking oat fields and dump truck loads of apples?  Yep, elk hunting at it's finest.   :chuckle:

Looks like someone just got a .10/hour raise at the local mill.

How can the WDFW give permission to do something that's illegal? Why would someone even ask if they could hunt in a unit that is not open?

I would think an experienced hunter like Tod Reichert would know how to read and understand the hunting regulations. Not only that, but he had at least one local hunting with him, and that guy would have, or should have known, that unit 334 did not have any open season for branch antlered bulls, and therefore was not open for hunting with his raffle elk tag.

Since you know him, can you ask him to come on here and explain what happened?

Good questions bob... Wouldn't f&w know what was open? Do they not care??  Beyond popular belief, I highly doubt he's missed a lick of sleep about the hunt wa detectives......

It's not their responsibility to know, it was his and he *censored*ed up, time to pay for it. 8)

The story I heard was that the question of a unit being open or not was never asked. He only asked if it was legal to hunt with a rifle in that unit. He was told it was not, so he used a muzzleloader. Does he have proof that he was given permission to hunt in a closed unit?
