Quality Muzzy or Quality Archery

You didn't specify east or west side. If you apply east, I wouldn't worry about drawing a quality tag with 10 points, sad as that sounds.

I've gone hunting instead of attending weddings many times.  My thought is - If it was important for me to be there they would not have scheduled it during elk/deer season.  And since 20% of marriages will end in divorce in five years and 48% in 20 years that's probably less chance of marital bliss than what my hunting success would be on the day of their marriage 

If the gift is nice enough and you pony up money, she won't care.  And your his fathers, he'll forgive you...eventually!

Back in the day archery elk opened Oct. 1st. I never had a problem calling in bulls. The cows that didn't take in the Sept. rut will get bred in Oct. Hiper cow call works real well in Oct. The bulls are looking for cows to breed.

I loved that 1-16th season!  Secondary rut activity was some of the more extreme I've ever witnessed.  Those were some good times

      I don't think there are any quality muzzy tags anymore. A few years ago the State gave the quality guys few days head start over the general season guys. We shot some absolute giants with the quality tags then. Now the quality and the hundreds of general season guys go at the same time. That's not what I consider Quality! I'm not bashing the general season guys, in fact most often I'm one of them. Until they go back to the way it was or do something else to make the muzzy "quality" tags more appealing, I'm strictly a ghost point guy! I'd stay with archery - good luck!

Yeah, I thought Toutle was better when the bull hunters got a head start before the hundreds of cow hunters started crowding in.  Don't know why they did away with that.

I was under the impression Archers complained because they don't get a head start with their quality tags. But I don't know that to be factual.

      I'm Sorry if it sounds as if I'm complaining. I hunt East side Muzzy for elk and where we are it's spike only for general hunts. Some of the units have a few (single digits) quality branched bull permits. After 15-20 years of points accumulation by a lot of guys, a few days head start isn't to much ask for in my opinion.
