« on: April 27, 2016, 01:15:00 PM »
What game bird and small game species live up on the San Juan islands? I have done some research and can't find any info.

Several of the islands have turkey. I have heard of quail but never seen any.

Anybody remember when San Juan was absolutely overrun with rabbits? Not so much anymore. I'm sure there's still some there. Can't imagine where to hunt though unless you have a private 'in'.

San juan but you cant hunt fox on anyof them and hunting permission is really hard to get. Lots of bunny huggers on that island.

I think lokidog killed all the Decature turkeys, he hasn't seen one in a while.  :dunno:

There is a whole half of the island that is closed to hunting. Places we both wish we had permission.

 :chuckle:

I've seen some huge racks on some small bucks out there.

I've also seen some rats the size of cats.
Those islands are seriously infested with rats.

Phesant common up there? And also I have heard that the rabbit population has gone down up there. Is this true?
